Phewa Lake

Phewa Lake is the center of all attraction in Pokhara. It  covers an area of about 4.43 km2 with an average depth of about 8.6 m. with maximum water depth is 22.8 m (75 ft) Annapurna looms in the distance from the lake and the lake is famous for the reflection of Mount Fishtail on its surface. The holy Varahi mandir is situated on an island in the lake. The eastern shore, popularly known as Lakeside, is the favorite haunt of all travelers’ restaurants, handicraft shops and other tourist facilities are located.
